Driving school change

• Theory lessons and driving lessons: Type and number of lessons completed.


• Vehicle type: Whether you drove a manual or automatic vehicle (particularly important for category B197).
  
  
• Confirmation of driving hours in a manual car: If these are not on the training certificate, we need a separate certificate from your old driving school.

Old driving school in Munich:

• Change application: Go to the Munich District Administration Office (KVR) to have your application transferred to the new driving school.


• Important documents: First aid course, eye test and passport photo do not need to be submitted again - these have already been submitted to the KVR.

Old driving school not in Munich, current main residence in Munich:

• Contact the previous driving license authority: Inform them that you would like to continue your training in Munich.
• Specify test center: Specify the test center TÜV Süd München.


• Forward application: The previous authority will forward your application or test request to the KVR Munich or TÜV Süd.


• Have application amended: Apply to the KVR Munich for an amendment to the current application.

Old driving school and main residence outside Munich:

• Contact the driving license authority: Contact the responsible driving license authority and inform them that you would like to continue your training in Munich.
• 
  Testing center TÜV Süd München: This must also be specified.

If you have not yet submitted an application or your application has expired, you must submit a new driver's license application. To do this, contact the relevant authority.
