Frequently Asked Questions
Is the online registration binding?
Yes. Submitting the online registration concludes the training contract — which is why you can start with the learning app and theory lessons right afterwards. You are not tied in permanently, though: you can terminate the training contract at any time in text form. If you terminate before the training has started, only one fifth of the base fee is charged (see our terms, sections 5 and 6).
What does registering cost?
There is no separate registration fee. Registration is part of the base fee, which covers administration and theory lessons — 599 € for class B. Everything else is listed in our price overview, and you can work out your own case with the cost calculator.
What happens after I register online?
You get immediate access to the learning app and can start theory lessons. After that, drop by one of our branches: we check your licence application and help you fill it in. You then submit it to the licensing authority responsible for your place of residence.
When can I start theory lessons?
Immediately after online registration. Current dates are in the theory schedule.
When does the application have to reach the authority?
As soon as possible. The City of Munich currently states up to 14 weeks from complete submission (as of 25 July 2026); other authorities may differ. Because processing takes that long, it pays to apply early — you can already take theory and practical lessons in the meantime.
Do I need the documents already when registering?
No. You do not need any of them for the online registration. The biometric passport photo, eye test, first aid certificate and ID are required for the licence application at the authority.
Can I register if I am not yet 18?
Yes. With accompanied driving from 17 (BF17) you can start earlier. While you are a minor, both legal guardians sign the application, and the supplementary form listing your accompanying persons is required as well. The easiest way is to come to a branch together.
Which location do I register with?
Registration runs through the open locations Munich-Haidhausen, Giesing and Haar — you register online and then come to whichever branch suits you best. Baldham is scheduled to open on 1 September 2026; you can register your interest for it through Haar without obligation.

Processing Time of Authorities
The City of Munich currently states a processing time of up to 14 weeks from complete submission. This includes production of the driving licence by Bundesdruckerei. Actual processing time may vary by application. As of 25 July 2026. The Munich and Ebersberg district authorities, and other licensing authorities, publish their own processing information.
Accompanied Driving at 17 (BF17)
Want to get your license at 17? No problem. When registering for BF17, you additionally need the supplementary form where your accompanying persons are entered. Copies of the licenses and IDs of your companions must also be submitted to the office. For parents: as long as your child is under 18, both legal guardians sign the application. It is easiest to come to a branch together so everything is settled in one appointment.
Switching to us
Unhappy with your current driving school and want to switch? Registering with us is straightforward. We take over your previous achievements (Theory & Practice) and handle the re-registration with the authority. Just stop by one of our branches.
