How much does a driving license cost in Munich?
Total costs for a Class B license in Munich are typically between €2,800 and €3,800 — depending mainly on how many driving lessons you need. At Peters you get a transparent breakdown — calculate your individual costs including base fee, driving lessons, special drives and TÜV fees.
Can I get my driving license in English in Munich?
Yes. You can take the official theory exam in English, our learning app is available in several languages, and our instructors guide you through your driving lessons in English or German. The whole process works in English — register online or visit one of our three locations.
Should I learn automatic or manual?
We recommend Class B197: you train mostly on automatic cars (more relaxed, often faster), take a short manual-skills check — and may then drive both. Our fleet includes modern automatics (VW ID.3 electric, BMW 1 Series) as well as manual cars.
How long does the driver's license training take?
This varies a lot. Many of our students get their license in 3–4 months. With our 2-week intensive course (8 theory lessons per week), many students complete the whole license in just 6–8 weeks. We help you build a realistic schedule.
Do you also offer BF17 (accompanied driving)?
Yes! Accompanied driving from 17 is very popular with us. The training corresponds to Class B, but you can drive with your accompanying persons from your 17th birthday before you take to the road independently at 18.
Can I switch from another driving school?
Yes, switching driving schools is possible at any time — and easier than you think. All your previous driving lessons, special drives and theory lessons (valid for up to 2 years) are fully credited. We handle the paperwork.
What does the 2027 driving license reform mean for me?
The planned reform is set to make training more digital – under the draft ordinance the new training rules are envisaged as early as 1 January 2027, further parts from 1 July 2027. Waiting still rarely pays off: savings are not guaranteed, and whoever starts before 2027 may finish under today's rules (§ 15 of the new ordinance) – while a post-reform rush with longer waiting times is likely. At which locations do you offer the training?
We have three locations: Munich-Haidhausen (Rosenheimer Str. 86), Munich-Giesing (Grünwalder Str. 12) and Haar near Munich (Münchener Str. 13). All locations are easily accessible by public transport.
