Training & Process

You don't learn to ride a motorcycle in a classroom, but on the road. We combine theory and practice optimally — from the first application to the licence in your hand.

1. Theory & Application

Use our branch in Haar (Theory Center) — find current theory dates online. In parallel, the application is processed at KVR München. We help with eye test, first-aid course and all forms.

2. Basic Riding Exercises (Daglfing)

The first meters on our enclosed training ground in Daglfing. Slalom, stop & go, emergency braking — without stress. Which basic riding manoeuvres are tested, our exam guide shows.

3. Special Drives

From Giesing straight towards the Alps. In Haidhausen we practise city traffic. You ride the modern bike of your chosen class with bike-to-bike intercom (SENA Mesh) — almost like riding solo.

4. Exam & Licence

After 12 mandatory special drives and passed theory exam, the practical TÜV exam follows. Use our cost calculator to plan transparent total costs — no hidden fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm short (under 1.60m) – is that possible?
Yes, absolutely! We specialize in this. Our fleet includes special machines with low-seat (lowering) and padded seats. A secure stand is a basic prerequisite.
Protective gear: Do I have to buy everything?
No. We provide you with high-quality protective gear (helmet, jacket, pants, protectors) if needed.
What does "Bike-to-Bike" mean?
At Peters Driving School, the instructor often accompanies you on a motorcycle themselves. This allows demonstrating line choice and cornering technique.
What does the license cost?

The costs consist of:

  • Base fee (administration & theory)
  • Practice lessons (individual)
  • Special Drives (12 legally required for A/A1/A2)
  • TÜV & city fees

Good to know about the motorcycle license in München

Getting your motorcycle license in München is a decision worth planning carefully. Peters Driving School offers complete motorcycle training (Class A, A2, A1, AM) at all three locations in Haidhausen, Giesing and Haar — including the popular B196 extension, which lets car license holders ride motorcycles up to 125cc without an extra exam.

Our unique advantage: we have our own private training ground in München-Daglfing as well as low-seat motorcycles for riders with shorter stature. Practical training is conducted with modern bike-to-bike radio guidance, so the instructor can give riding instructions during the ride itself — for faster learning progress. Our fleet includes machines from Ducati and KTM.

Particularly popular is the Class A2 training (motorcycles up to 35 kW) — ideal for young riders between 18 and 24 who later want to upgrade to the full Class A. For bikers who already own a motorcycle, direct entry options are also available. Talk to us — we'll happily create an individual training plan for you in München.

We train in München East & Surroundings: Haidhausen • Au • Giesing • Harlaching • Ramersdorf • Perlach • Berg am Laim • Trudering • Riem • Haar • Vaterstetten • Baldham. Our branches are conveniently connected to U-Bahn and S-Bahn for students from the entire city area.
